Recently, they have been outed for their backward âtwo witnessesâ policy that allows abusers and pedophiles to stay in places of power in their congregation and abuse others.
Do not open your door to them, do not stop at their witnessing carts, do not read their publications, do not interact with them. As well as being complicit in thousands of child abuse cases, they are a cult that uses mind control tactics and fearmongering to keep their members isolated from the rest of the world and reality of what their cult is doing to them. They are dangerous and interacting with them is dangerous.

Call your rep ASAP so they donât forget to do this. Probably mention this would be the easiest legislation they would ever pass and get done

Once the FCC officially rescinds Net Neutrality on Thursday, thereâs a 60 day lag period where Congress can vote to not allow it to pass through. Basically if nothing is done, Net Neutrality will expire right around April 23rd. Thereâs a few big hurdles here still (need 51 votes in the Senate and a majority in the House, with enough to overturn a presidential veto) BUT during this time period the AGs of the states that have decided to sue the FCC plan to refile their lawsuit and begin litigation processes.
SO, what can we do?
CALL YOU CONGRESSPEOPLE! This website will help you find out who you need to call. Start with your Senators, they will need to do something first and right now there appears to be 50 votes for stopping the full rescinding of Net Neutrality so we currently only need to flip one more to get that started. If you have a Senator or Rep who has already committed to voting for legislation to reinstate NN, still call or email and thank them for their support. This helps keep them aware of what their constituents actually want.Â
If you need a good script, help finding out who to call, or just more information in general, 5 Calls is a great site where everything is coordinated together with who call and what to say. They currently have scripts up for a number of different issues on-going in Congress and it sounds like theyâre prepping scripts for NN for tomorrow.
Canât do phone calls? I understand, hereâs an article that outlines how to fax and write letters to your Congress member through your text app. I know this route is tempting for all, but know that phone calls have been shown to be the single best option for change, so if you are able, please call first!
Find out if your state is among those that are planning to file suit against the FCC to try to get the ruling overturned. These states will have to refile within 10 days of the rescinding (Whatâs suppose to happen Thursday) so keep an eye on it. Call you AGâs office and either ask them if they plan to support the suit OR thank them for supporting it and encourage them to continue working for Neutrality.
Its important to remember that there will continue to be 10 million other things that feel just as pressing as this issue over the next 60 days. Thatâs how this administration works, its everything all at once because hopefully we canât handle it all. So if you have a few minutes to spare for this (or any of the other important and pending issues listed on 5 Calls, like HR620 or a Clean DREAM Act), consider calling your Congress Member, using Resistbot to contact them, or EFF Action to email them.

so this post is officially 4 years old today. itâs far and away my most popular drawing, so much so that even now, it gets tons of notes and reblogs every day. i appreciate that! itâs exciting and Iâm glad so many people like my idea and designs. as a trans person myself, seeing other people commenting on which Evolution theyâre at and how much they identify with my designs makes me feel amazing! i feel like iâm giving back to my community and really helping people.
the problem however is that because of its popularity, this is also my most stolen and reposted work. iâve seen my signature erased or cropped out more times than I can count, everywhere from Facebook to Twitter to Reddit to Instagram. recently people have started editing the picture for phone backgrounds and lockscreens, which I donât support at all. i wouldâve been happy to design custom lockscreens for these people, as I am a commission artist, but itâs easier for people to just photoshop my art. I canât stop that.
it does hurt though.
