so hanzo goes to kaiba corp on a mission from overwatch to investigate kaiba’s tech and make sure talon doesn’t steal it. he goes undercover as a business associate as to not give away the situation to kaiba

in their interactions the two realize they’re pretty similar and have a begrudging respect for each other and feel as though there’s some kind of… deeper connection

eventually talon does come for the technology and hanzo breaks his cover to fend them off. kaiba sees hanzo summon his dragons and becomes fascinated with hanzo, realizing they’re what draws him to hanzo beyond their similarities

hanzo is able to protect the tech and kaiba essentially has him stick around as a bodyguard until he can up his security. kaiba bugs hanzo about the dragons and at this point they actually grow to be really good friends (which is really significant bc they are themselves and they have no friends so them making snarky remarks at each other and talking about dragons is like….. wrow and they are having a good time for once)

but eventually kaiba looks into hanzo’s background on his own (by hacking into overwatch’s database), he discovers what hanzo did to genji and is

disgusted

and then he kicks out his friend hanzo and angst idk someone else take over

kaiba kicks hanzo out bc he’s so appalled by how hanzo could do that his own brother but then talon attacks again and hanzo comes back to save him BUT THIS TIME WITH GENJI and kaiba sees that maybe he’s not quite the absolute scum of the earth after all 🙂

also at some point in the story kaiba jams someones gun with a card
